The Alternating Dumbell Curl See muscles involved Primary Muscles Involved Biceps Other Muscles Involved Abdominals and Spinal Erectors (stabilizing the torso), Forearms (gripping the weight) Execution While holding a dumbell in each arm, stand with knees slightly bent, abdominals tightened, and arms hanging by the sides (Starting Position). Curl one dumbell while twisting the palm upward and pause at the top (Second Position). Lower the first dumbell back to the original position (Third position). Repeat the sequence with the other dumbell. Tips and Safety Keep abdominals tight throughout the exercise. Avoid swinging. |
